A permanent opportunity has opened up in the VIC warehousing team at a highly regarded Global Medical Device company.

Job Description

As a member of the ANZ warehouse loan team the role encompasses all functions including but not limited to inbound receiving, Instrument Inspection and outbound dispatch goods, including Loan Kits.

Key Responsibilities
Perform the following administrative functions on behalf of the Company and in doing so represent the Company in compliance with the Code of Conduct and Business Principles and the employment agreement.
Day-to-day Operations
  • Pick, pack, check and receive all stock, including loan sets.
  • Receive process & dispatch loan set/ kit returns and ensuring they are intact and in condition to be re-issued in a timely manner.
  • Quality inspection of returned material/ equipment. Identify and confirm status of returned material/ equipment in SAP to ensure ownership is transacted correctly
  • Decontamination processing of returned equipment
  • Rebuilding kits and return stock to correct bin location 
  • Identify discrepancies in bookings, ensuring Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) takes place on all occasions to minimise Company risk.
  • Perform domestic & International shipping duties and ensure delivery information is communicated to relevant departments.
  • Ensure all bookings are completed in a timely manner in order to meet branch surgery dates
  • Assist the customer service team with enquiries to ensure that bookings are processed correctly.
Stock Control
  • Assist with stock rotation of inventory and remove expired items where necessary.
  • Track all products by batch/lot number and serial number. All products must be individually tagged.
  • Assist with cycle counts and or stock takes.
  • Track loan sets
  • Respond to Customer and Branch enquiries in a timely manner
  • General warehouse and other related duties as required by management
Compliance
  • Ensure our assets are compliant to all Quality standards.
  • Maintain ISO 9001:2008 environment, as required by the Quality responsibilities and authorities as defined by Quality Manual and associated procedures and work in accordance with strict health and safety guidelines and housekeeping
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Certificate in warehousing and distribution 
  • Proven experience in a logistics or distribution environment
  • Experience in loan set operations 
  • Experience working with contaminated materials
  • Exposure to the medical device industry and understanding of Hospital CSSD process
  • Good understanding of the order fulfillment process in Australian public and private healthcare facilities and the key stakeholders in this process
  • Understanding of warehousing and transportation methodologies
  • Knowledge in SAP/ Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) processes 
  • Training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Good Warehousing Practices (GWP)
  • Ability to adapt and respond to customer needs
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Excellent communication skills & high attention to detail
